Privacy Policy

Who we are

Zeusfares, Cyprus ("Zeusfares", "we", "us") operates zeusfares.com, an affiliate travel discovery site. We are the data controller for the personal data described below. You can reach us at hello@zeusfares.com.

What we collect, and why

Newsletter email address. If you subscribe, we collect your email address and pass it to our email provider, MailerLite, to send you deal emails. Legal basis: your consent. Retention: until you unsubscribe.

First-party preference cookies. We set small cookies to remember your currency and departure airport so the site works the way you left it. Legal basis: necessary for the site to function. Retention: up to 12 months. See our Cookie Policy.

Affiliate tracking (with consent). If you choose to load the live flight-search widget, Travelpayouts (and the airlines/agents shown in its results) may set cookies or use similar technology to attribute bookings to us for commission purposes. Legal basis: your consent, given via our cookie banner. You can withdraw this at any time from "Cookie settings" in the footer.

Hosting & server logs. Our site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard technical logs (IP address, request timing, user agent) to run and secure the infrastructure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and operational. Retention: per Vercel's standard log retention.

Advertising (with consent). We may show ads served by Google AdSense. The AdSense script only loads once you accept marketing cookies via our cookie banner, and Google may then set cookies to serve and personalise ads. Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw this at any time from "Cookie settings" in the footer.

Site & blog storage (Upstash Redis). We use Upstash Redis to store our own blog posts (drafts and published), cached hot-deals data, and cover-photo choices. This is operational content, not personal data — the newsletter signup below goes straight to MailerLite and is not written to this database. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running the site. Retention: for as long as the related content (e.g. a blog post) exists.

Contact emails. If you email hello@zeusfares.com, we keep that correspondence to respond to you and keep a record of the exchange. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to you (or steps taken at your request). Retention: as long as reasonably needed to resolve your query and for our records afterwards.

Visit statistics (Umami Analytics). We use Umami Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-focused service, to count visits and see which pages and features are used. Umami sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, so it does not need your consent under the cookie rules. It receives the page you view, the referring site (including any campaign tags in the link, such as those on our Instagram posts), your browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language and approximate country (derived from your IP address, which is not stored), plus anonymous events such as clicking "See live prices". It does not identify you or follow you across other sites, and we respect your browser's "Do Not Track" setting. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site. Retention: aggregated statistics are kept for as long as we run the site.

We don't make any decision about you using automated processing that has a legal or similarly significant effect.

Who we share data with

MailerLite (email delivery), Vercel (hosting), Upstash (database hosting), Umami (cookieless visit statistics), and, only once you consent to affiliate/marketing cookies, Travelpayouts and the travel partners you interact with through our site (Aviasales, Klook, Yesim, GetRentacar, Kiwitaxi, EKTA and AirHelp) and Google AdSense. We never sell your personal data.

Several of these providers are based outside the EU/EEA (e.g. in the US). Where that's the case, they rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct or delete it; restrict or object to its processing; and, where processing is based on consent, withdraw that consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@zeusfares.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Cyprus Commissioner for Personal Data Protection: dataprotection.gov.cy.

Children

Zeusfares isn't intended for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us at hello@zeusfares.com and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do.
